Heroes Wors™ & Baked Beans Pot Pie
INGREDIENTS
- 200 g Heroes Wors™
- 200 g Macon, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 2 tins Baked beans
- 1 Large onion, diced
- 15 ml Chipotle cooking paste
- 20 ml Tomato paste
- 15 ml Sugar
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 bunch Fresh thyme
- 1 Puff pastry roll
- 1 Egg
- 5 ml Milk
METHOD
- Fry macon in a pan until brown. Remove and leave
any excess fat in the pan.
- Fry onions and garlic in the macon fat and set aside.
- Fry Heroes Wors™ - 803056 until brown, being careful
not to overcook.
- Add the baked beans, chipotle, tomato paste, sugar,
seasoning and thyme. Let it simmer for 10 minutes,
stirring gently. Cool the mixture and preheat the
oven to 200ºC.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface, keeping it as
thick as possible. Cut 4 circles out of the puff pastry,
big enough to cover the ramekins.
- Fill the ramekins with the Heroes Wors™ mixture up to
1 cm from the top. Place the pastry onto the ramekin,
seal the edges, and brush with the egg and milk
mixture.
